Look After Your Lashes!
1. Avoid mascara
2. Application of skin and eye creams
The oils in skin creams are great for moisturising skin, but they can also break down the adhesive that holds lashes in place. keep skin creams well away from the eye area to protect lashes and extend their life span.
3. Gentle eye makeup remover
Use only oil free makeup removers near eye lash extensions. Removers with oil can weaken the glue, and force lashes to come off. cleansing above and below the lashes and not through the lashes. Soothing eye makeup remover that we have on our shelves is a perfect product to use to prolong extension life.
4. Sleep position
Sleeping face down on the pillow can damage eyelash extensions, and could lead to them falling out.sleep on the back or side and make sure eyelashes do not come into contact with pillows or blankets.
5. Choose a suitable curl.
If your natural eyelashes are straight, then straight lashes will hold in place better than those with a strong curl. As an eyelash professional, our therapists will know best what to advise.
6. Hands off!!
The more you touch your extensions, the more likely it is that the glue will loosen and cause the lashes to fall out. Avoid unnecessary contact with the eye area, rubbing eyes etc.
All these tips should prolong the lashes for you. We recommend to our lash clients to return to the salon every 4 weeks to have a top up and replenish the luscious lashes that have fallen. When you return for your fourth top up we would recommend that all the lashes are removed and a new full set re applied.
